POLYAMIDE

Technical sample: Mooring rope for yacht: a rope of 10 meters length in 16 mm will weigh 1KG580 (10 x 158 grammes) and will resist up to 5 200 KG.

Polyamide (or nylon, or PA) is a chemical fiber, with high tenacity, who doesn't float (density 1,14),

High breakage resistance: look at table N°2 but important stretching under strong loads high abrasion resistance,

Melting point around 260° C (500 °F),

Natural white color in standard (other coloration can be made on request),

We achieve many products made in polyamide: lifting sling for the industry with marking ring cordage for firemen (control - mooring rope -...) safety rope.

Polyester (or tergal, or PES) is, as polyamide, a very strong chemical fiber,

Denser than polyamide, a bit less solid but with less stretching (look at table n°3).

Technical sample: Pulling rope of 500 meters long in 8 mm resists up to 1040 Kg and weighs 15 Kg (= 500 m x 30 grammes). In regular stock in 500 meters crown.

Cordage 3 strands - 4 to 8 mm diameters,
Cordage 4 strands - 10 mm diameter and above,
This fiber is obtained by extrusion of granules,
High breakage resistance (look table N° 4) for cordages according to the norm EN 699,
Low stretching,
Melts to 160 ° C (320 °F),
Rot-proof,
Density 0,91: this rope floats in the water,
More economic than polyamide and polyester,
Application:
- handling rope - lifting sling - moorings - climbing nets and apparatus - marking out in ski resorts - ski tow with invisible splice,
Regular stock in white and color,
Some items are stocked in long lengths.
